Overview:
Stylish vintage amethyst cocktail ring (circa 1970s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Cabochon cut amethyst measures 17mm x 12.5mm (estimated at 10 carats). The amethyst is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips. Twelve lapis beads measure 3mm each.
The rich royal purple amethyst is set into an abstract claw setting. Weighing 14.7 grams the ring has a nice heavy weight feel on the hand and makes a great statement. The high rise ring (13mm - 0.51 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
