Overview:
Stylish vintage natural Ceylon no heat star sapphire ring (circa 1960s to 1970s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Cabochon cut natural Star Sapphire, approx. 9 carats (12.8 x 8.3 x 7.5mm), light purplish color, lightly included, good polish, moderate star visible under a pinpoint light source. Color and inclusions are typical of Star Sapphires from Ceylon (Sri Lanka). There is no evidence of any treatment to the stone. The sapphire is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips.

The star sapphire is bezel set with a textured finish to the side shoulders. The sapphire has a beautiful light purplish-pink color. Under a direct light source or natural sunlight the sapphire exhibits a six point star that dances across the domed cabochon. The ring makes a great statement on the hand. The medium rise ring (9mm - 0.35 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
