Finely detailed antique Sloan & Co Victorian 3 horse seed pearl brooch crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1880s to 1900s).
Seed pearls measure (average) 1mm. The pearls are in-tact and well matching.
The beautifully detailed brooch is made by Sloan & Co, a famous Newark, NJ jewelry manufacturer. Since the late 1800s Sloan & Co was one of the most renowned manufactures of jewelry in the United States, also producing jewelry for Tiffany & Co & Cartier. Tiny seed pearls dot the trotting horses. A great collector piece today.
The brooch is in good condition with some minor wear evident to the enamel. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
