Overview:
Finely detailed antique mid Victorian cameo necklace crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1860s to 1870s).
The beautifully detailed necklace highlights a large, enameled portrait cameo of a woman. Surrounding the cameo is scrolled foliate detail with the chain featuring sweet blue enameled floral details. Flowers were a prominent theme in Victorian jewelry, a sentiment to express love. The necklace measures 16 inches in length and sits nicely at the nape of the neck. A great example of the romance and sentimental nature of Victorian era jewelry that would make a wonderful addition to your collection.
The necklace is in good original condition with some wear issues. The back of the portrait shows some dents to the gold. The enameled portrait shows a few chips visible under a 10x loupe. We have not cleaned the necklace in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
