Rare vintage Tiffany & Co aquamarine ring designed by Paloma Picasso, crafted in 18 karat yellow gold (circa 1981).
Oval faceted aquamarine measures 13mm x 8mm. The aquamarine is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
Dating to 1981 the bold sculptural ring, designed in an east to west position, is crafted by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co, the year after she started her design work at Tiffany (and continues today). Paloma Picasso has a love of big colorful gemstones and bold statement jewels. It's always great to come across the early work of a designer, with the ring highlighting her love of bold jewelry, and so very 80s. A rare, wearable ring and great collector piece. Also included is the original Tiffany & Co box.
The ring is in good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.
