Overview:
Finely detailed vintage snake ring, crafted in 14 karat rose gold (circa 1960s to 1970s).
Star sapphire measures 4mm. Two small 1mm rubies are set into the eyes. The sapphire is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
For centuries the snake has represented eternal love and faithfulness. The elaborate snake with its lifelike scale detail terminates to a black star sapphire set head. In natural sunlight, the star sapphire exhibits a faint six point star. The band sits flat and comfortably on the finger with a low rise (5.5mm - 0.21 inches).
The ring is in very good condition with patina evident (it can be cleaned and polished if desired).
