Overview:
Elaborate antique Victorian locket (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Two old mine cut diamonds total an estimated 0.25 carats (estimated at I-J color and SI2-I1 clarity).
The beautifully detailed locket features an elaborate design, accented with foliate details and a delightful butterfly perched to the center. The back of the pendant opens to accommodate a photo or keepsake (a photo currently adorns the locket and can be removed). The pendant is a wonderful and unique example of jewelry from the late Victorian era. Large in scale, the bale measures 5mm and can accommodate a thick chain if desired.
The pendant is in good condition with light wear evident. We have not cleaned the piece in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
