Vintage Tiffany & Co ruby & diamond cluster ring crafted in 900 platinum (circa 1960s).
Oval mixed cut natural ruby measures 7.1 x 5.4 x 3.0mm (estimated at 1 carat). Color and inclusions are typical of rubies from Burma (Myanmar). There is no evidence of any treatments to the ruby. Sixteen diamonds total an estimated 0.70 carats (estimated at F-G color and VS clarity). The ruby is in good condition with two tiny chips evident (visible under a 10x loupe).
The vintage cluster ring is an irresistible classic, ideal worn as a cocktail ring or alternative gemstone engagement ring. The Burma ruby is absolutely stunning and glows in a rich vibrant red hue. The accenting diamonds shimmer with loads of sparkle and fire. The low rise ring (5mm - 0.19 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. Tiffany & Co box is included (see picture).
