Overview:
Stylish vintage opal & diamond cocktail ring crafted in 18 karat yellow gold (circa 1970s to 1980s).
Center set opal measures 10mm x 8.5mm (estimated at 1.50 carats), accented with 8 estimated 0.20 carat opals. The total opal weight is estimated at 3.10 carats. Eight diamonds total an estimated 0.24 carats (estimated at H-I color and VS2-SI1 clarity). The opals are in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
The natural opals exhibit a strong color matrix from green to orange, yellow, purple and turquoise. Sprinkled with diamonds the large cocktail ring makes a bold statement on the hand. The high rise ring (13mm - 0.51 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
