Overview:
Finely detailed antique Arts & Crafts movement carved carnelian ring (circa 1910s) crafted in 14 karat white gold.
Carved carnelian measures 14mm diameter. The stone is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
The Arts & Crafts movement highlighted jewelry with a return to nature with flora and fauna prominent motifs. The carnelian is carved with a central floral motif, with the side shoulders and under gallery featuring beautiful hand fabricated gold work in a leaf motif. The mount has a slightly curved saddle for a comfortable fit on the finger. The ring has a low profile, rising 6mm from the finger (0.23 inches). Currently a size 4, the ring is great worn on the pinky finger.
The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
