Overview:
Finely detailed antique Victorian coiled diamond snake ring, crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1880s to 1900s).
Old mine cut diamond is estimated at 0.25 carats (estimated at L-M color and SI2 clarity). Two red paste stones are estimated at 0.02 carats.
For centuries the snake has represented eternal love and faithfulness. The elaborate ring coils to hug the finger, with the snakes head set with an old mine cut diamond. The textured band highlights realistic scale like detail to the band. The ring has a low profile (8mm - 0.31 inches) sitting flat and comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
