Overview:
Stylish and finely detailed antique nail bracelet crafted in 14 karat rose gold (circa 1913).
A wonderful piece of American made antique jewelry by the famed L Fritzsche & Company of Newark, New Jersey, the capital of fine jewelry production at the time. Thoroughly modern in design from so many years ago (117 years!), the bangle is designed in the form of a horseshoe nail, a popular equestrian design during the era. The nail design was patented by the company in 1908. The inner portion of the bangle is engraved "Sept 25 - 1913" along with the initials "LCC". The bracelet makes a statement and is great worn alone or as a part of a bracelet stack. The bracelet will fit a wrist up to 6 3/4 inches. Please check your wrist size prior to purchase.
The bracelet is in good condition with light wear evident (surface abrasions) along with a light amount of patina. We have not cleaned the bracelet and left it in 'as found' condition.
