Overview:
Exquisite Georgian antique Iberian emerald & pearl earrings (circa 1750s to 1780s) crafted in 22k yellow gold.
Table cut emeralds measure from 3mm x 3mm (center) to 3mm x 2mm and 1mm. As expected with earrings of this age there are a few chips and nicks to the emeralds (visible under a 10x loupe). The pearls graduate in size from 3mm to 5mm. The pearls are likely a later addition to the earrings.
The hand made earrings are made in high karat 22k yellow gold. The wire backings (also a later addition to the earrings) test for 20 karat gold. Very wearable today the earrings have a lightweight feel on the earlobe (the total weight of the earrings is 7 grams). The earrings would make a great addition to your fine antique jewelry collection.
The earrings are in good condition. Please feel free to email with any further questions regarding condition.
