Overview:
Striking vintage opal & diamond ring (circa 1920s to 1930s), crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Centrally mounted natural opal measures 14mm x 11mm (estimated at 6 carats), accented with 16 estimated 0.10 carat old mine cut diamonds. The total diamond weight is estimated at 1.60 carats (estimated at I-J color and VS2-SI1 clarity). The Ethiopian opal is a later addition to the ring. It is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips.
The opal shows a strong play of colors from red to orange, purple, yellow, turquoise and green, framed with sparkling chunky old mine cut diamonds. The large cocktail ring is medium in profile and sits nicely on the finger. The colorful ring is impactful in design and ideal worn day or night.
