Overview:
Stylish vintage moonstone & sapphire cocktail ring (circa 1950s to 1960s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Cabochon cut moonstone measures 11mm x 6mm (estimated a 2.50 carats) is accented with 16 estimated 0.04 carat faceted round cut blue sapphires. The total sapphire weight is estimated at 0.64 carats. The moonstone is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips. Some light surface abrasions evident under a 10x loupe.
The moonstone casts a lunar glow with beautiful blue color flashes evident with every movement of the ring. The sapphires border the moonstone adding color and contrast. The medium rise ring (7mm - 0.27 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. The colorful ring is impactful in design and ideal worn day or night.
The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
