Stylish vintage natural opal & diamond cocktail ring (circa 1970s to 1980s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Cabochon cut natural opal measures 10mm x 7.8mm (estimated at 1.45 carats) is accented with an estimated 0.45 carats of diamonds (estimated at I-J color and SI2-I1 clarity). The opal is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips (some light surface abrasions from wear).
The natural opal is cabochon cut in a low dome. The color matrix is vibrant with flashes of green, orange, yellow, turquoise and blue. In natural sunshine the opal really lights up with a kaleidoscope of colors. The medium rise ring (7mm - 0.27 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. The colorful ring is impactful in design and ideal worn day or night.
