Stylish natural 6.02ct black opal & diamond cocktail ring crafted in platinum.
Cabochon cut oval natural black opal measures 15.40 x 11.08 x 5.64mm (6.02 carats). Four emerald cut diamonds are estimated at 0.16 carats each and total an estimated 0.64 carats (estimated at E-F color and VS clarity). The opal exhibits a strong blue/green play of color, minor crazing with no evidence of any treatments.
The natural black opal is Australian in origin from the Lightning Ridge region, famous for black opals with color flashes that cover the color spectrum. The opal shows vivid and very strong blue & green color flashes, and lights up beautifully in natural sunlight (opals are hard to photograph & the vivid color flashes were not captured in the images!) The cocktail ring makes a great statement on the hand. The medium rise ring (8.5mm - 0.33 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
