Overview:
Antique Edwardian 5 stone opal ring (circa 1910s), crafted in 18 karat yellow gold.
Five natural opals measure from 4mm x 3mm to 3mm x 2.5mm. The opals are in good condition with some wear evident (chip to one opal).
The opals are set in a classic 5 stone openwork setting. Lovely worn as an alternative wedding band or stacked with your fine jewelry from any era. The ring features Birmingham, UK hallmarks (see below). The opals show a good color matrix from green to yellow, orange, blue and purple.
The ring is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.

Size & Measurements: The ring is a size 4 3/4 (sizable). The band measures 6mm wide (0.23 inches), rising 3.5mm from the finger.
Metal & Hallmark: 18 karat yellow gold. The ring is hallmarked with the Makers Mark "W&F" and a crown followed by "18" for 18k gold. The next hallmark is an anchor on its side (Mark of Origin for Birmingham, UK).
