Overview:

Antique Edwardian mourning ring (circa 1903), crafted in 9 karat rose gold.

The antique ring features braided hair embedded into the band. Sectioned panels are etched in a star and foliate design. Hair is missing at the base of the ring (see photo). The ring is quite a rare find with the buckle motif that represents the joining of two lives. The ring was likely given as a mourning piece or a sentimental token of love.

The ring is in fair condition with patina evident. We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve the patina and collector value. The ring features English hallmarks (see below).
