Natural freeform oval cabochon cut Natural Black Opal, approx. 8.10 carats (17mm x 11.4mm x 7mm), distinct red/orange/yellow/green/ play of color in a harlequin pattern on a black background. The opal is Ethiopian in origin. Surrounding the opal is 22 full cut round diamonds, total weight approx. 0.66 carats (estimated G-H color and SI1-I1 clarity). The opal is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
The photos don't do justice to the stunning opal! Full of vivid colors, the black opal displays a harlequin pattern with bright green, red, orange and yellows all dancing with every movement. The classic princess design is the perfect way to highlight the freeform opal, with a border of shimmering diamonds. The medium rise ring (12.5mm - 0.49 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.
